The Lord who is strong and mighty!

35:1 O Lord, fight ³  those who fight with me!

Attack those who attack me!

[24:8]  ¹ sn Who is this majestic king? Perhaps the personified gates/doors ask this question, in response to the command given in v. 7.

[35:1]  ² sn Psalm 35. The author, who faces ruthless enemies who seek his life for no reason, begs the Lord to fight his battles for him and to vindicate him by annihilating his adversaries.
